Teeth are lost for many reasons, such as cavities, gum disease, root canal failures, cracked roots and accidents. When a tooth is lost, the bone that surrounds the tooth root deteriorates, or melts away. (It's similar to losing muscle when you don't work out.) Tooth loss in the front of your mouth can result in a hard to hide defect in the bone that affects the look of your smile. Missing teeth in the back of your mouth can lead to collapse of your bite. This affects the appearance of your face, your ability to eat and the health of your remaining teeth. That's why missing teeth can compromise your eating habits, speech, and appearance.

Our practice uses Straumann, Dentsply Ankylos and Astra Implants.  These are largest and most successful implant companies in the world recognized most importantly, for their high quality and standards.  

These systems also allow for a revolutionary approach to implant placement using a "one stage" design in 90% of cases.  This method eliminates a second surgery (to uncover the implants) used by other systems.  This approach often allows a minimally invasive surgery which allows implant placement without a flap or sutures. With this approach, many patients go back to work or do their normal tasks with virtually no discomfort.

Our practice is one of the largest users of the Straumann and Ankylos Implant systems in Florida.  We are also on the forefront of  immediate loaded implants.  This method allows placement of an implant with a temporary crown placed the same day.
