Dr. Michael Fetner has been a practicing periodontist since 2013. He also graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville for his undergraduate, dental and periodontal degrees. In his periodontal residency he was elected "Chief Resident" in his third year of residency. In 2013, he was awarded he prestigious Lazzara fellowship which allows him to continue his dental implant research. Dr. Michael Fetner spends 20% of his professional work week in Gainesville teaching at the dental school and working on his dental implant research.

Dr. Michael Fetner was recently married to Sondra Randon Fetner. They live with their two big dogs in a small house in Avondale.

Dr. Alan Fetner has been a practicing periodontist since 1985. He received both his dental and periodontal degrees from the University of Florida. In 1989 he earned his Periodontal Board Certification. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Florida, College of Dentistry and a speaker for the American Dental Association. Dr. Fetner also served on the faculty of the Pankey Institute and FCCJ Dental Hygiene Program for over 20 years. He is known nationally for his expertise in the field of Periodontics and dental implants and has presented over 100 invited lectures in more than 30 states and three provinces. Alan is past president of the Florida Association of Periodontists and formerly held elected office in the American Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. Mary Hartigan has been a practicing periodontist since 1989. She also received both her dental and periodontal degrees from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She earned her Periodontal Board Certification in 1995. Mary is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Florida, College of Dentistry faculty as well as the faculty of Florida Community College.  She has taught periodontal courses throughout the United States and Canada and has published  a number of scientific papers.  Dr. Hartigan is the primary periodontal educator for the dental hygiene students at FCCJ.  She teaches a full semester course on periodontics.

Alan and Mary have been married since 1980 and have four children.  They are a unique "Periodontal Couple" being one of the few married Board Certified Periodontists in the United States.
